A modern interpretation of Jupiter and her moons, the Jovian System Necklace transforms planetary motion into a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable sculpture.
At the center hangs a round jasper stone, chosen for its storm-like bands and natural resemblance to Jupiter’s swirling surface. The stone is held in a handmade sterling silver prong setting, carefully shaped to follow the lines of the jasper rather than conceal them. The setting itself is finished with hand-cut filament texture, adding tiny reflective details that echo the movement of light across a planetary surface.
Eleven handmade sterling silver moons move throughout the design, each one individually formed and finished with matching filament texture. These tiny divots are carved into the silver one by one, creating a light-catching surface that reflects like distant bodies in orbit.
The 18” chain is finished with a stylized round clasp, designed as a continuation of the necklace’s celestial system. Even the closure becomes part of the orbit, echoing the movement of moons, planets, and unseen gravitational pull.
